Day 2

We spent the morning at Ciudad España with the teachers and students of Juan Wesley School. We heard from students from the Wesley school about how we have helped to support their school. We talked to students and teachers over lunch and even though there was a language barrier, everyone understood each other and it was a bunny experience. Our visit was eye-opening and heartwarming.  Witnessing the dedication of the teachers and the impact they have on their students was truly inspiring. We discovered some of the teachers were recipients of scholarships themselves—and are now giving back by teaching at the school—was a powerful reminder that our church’s efforts are making a difference.

After the drive to Danli for the next phase of our serve trip, we had dinner with the team and  support team. It was a great opportunity to get to know the local team and to share fellowship and friendships. Tomorrow we start building Pilas for needy homes for water storage. And helping with vacation Bible camp for young children in the area.
