Due to potentially damaging weather this afternoon and evening, the children’s musical and pre-show events in the Leawood Sanctuary have been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
Today our team visited the village of Kamugnwe, where our partners at Opulence Malawi are helping the community build a more sustainable future through permaculture.
One of the first steps was providing a well and a 5,000-liter water tank, giving families easier access to clean water and eliminating the need for women to walk nearly two kilometers multiple times a day carrying heavy containers of water.
Our team then split into two groups—one spending time serving in the library while the other visited villages to see firsthand how permaculture practices are helping families grow food and strengthen their communities.
It was an incredible day of learning, serving, and seeing how access to water, education, and sustainable agriculture can help create lasting hope for generations to come.
