Day 5

Day 5 

Today we had the joy of thinking, planning and dreaming with the Opulence team through shared presentations, training and strategy discussions. The COR team led capacity building sessions on topics of strategic planning, fostering donor partners, grant development and impact storytelling. 

We learned more about key outcomes  from the range of Opulence-led programs and projects. We also shared discussions on future goal setting and equipping for growth and greater impact. Our team was blessed to receive individual, thoughtful gifts of Malawian handcrafts. 

As we reflected on our experience in Malawi, Debi made the astute observation that we, from the “heart of America,” have a lovely connection with the people of Malawi, which is known as the “warm heart of Africa.”  Each of our team shared observations on the power and impact of this trip on us personally, with collective agreement that we have been awed by the spirit of gratitude, thanksgiving, joy, and love we have seen and felt in each encounter here. We are blessed to have been welcomed so warmly to walk alongside the Opulence team as they are doing tremendous work in service of communities and souls in Malawi. 

We are each changed from this experience and committed to growing our impact as the hands and feet of Christ in our world, close and far.
