South Africa Blog 3

Today was a full day at the Ditshego plot. We began by meeting the rest of the team members. The children greeted us with the Lord’s Prayer, songs, and recited verses, which was amazing! We did a sip & dip, where we bonded over coffee and tea while working on a little painting project. We shared our partner’s artwork and talked about it, getting to know each other better.

Later, we taught them the electric slide! A fun activity for everyone involved.  We also had the chance to enjoy some authentic South African food for lunch, and we helped with the dishes after our meal to return the kindness. The day wrapped up with a tour of the plot and time spent getting to know the children, which helped us understand more about their lifestyle.
