Ash Wednesday services at all Resurrection locations will be held on schedule today.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
Our first full day in Bilike allowed our team to bring three presentations to Uganda Counseling Support Services (UCSS) leaders. Sheree presented on leadership; leading with a Godly heart, practical leadership skills and the Biblical foundation for leadership. Jean taught about people management; demonstrating how Jesus modeled behavior for the disciples, set performance goals for them and served God. Then, Shawn shared on problem solving skills; define the problem, diagnose the root cause and collaborate creative solutions.
In the afternoon, we sat in on a UCSS meeting of the department heads. As department heads shared challenges and successes of the week, they were already implementing new skills from the morning workshops taught by our team!
Our team then took their turn learning from UCSS staff as they toured the Nana Health Clinic, a water hole where the community formerly got drinking water before water holes were drilled for clean drinking water and met beneficiaries of UCSS educational programs.
Tomorrow we are eager to continue with additional presentations and viewing more UCSS programs!
