Day 7

11/15/25

Uganda: November 6 - 18, 2025

Uganda Blog Day 7:
Our team along the UCSS Nana’s Maternal Health Support staff participated in an exceptional training event with Dr. Bruce Bagley. The focus of the presentation was prenatal & obstetrical care along with delivery emergencies. Dr. Frieda and the midwifes are preparing for the opening of the new obstetrical hospital. The staff were very engaged & asked many questions. Cynthia from our Resurrection team, using her career in laboratory medicine, assisted Titus, the UCSS lab assistant with fine tuning laboratory services & equipment.  Some of the team members toured the Nana school serving grades 1-7. Each class stood & shared the school and class mottos. Another highlight was being able to attend the UCSS staff meeting.
Per information provided by Dr. Ronald, Uganda Counseling and Support Services (UCSS) embraces a holistic approach to transforming communities by meeting physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic needs in the love of Jesus Christ. By integrating access to clean water, quality education, healthcare, counseling, agriculture, leadership development, and discipleship, UCSS empowers families to thrive survive . As lives are restored, communities begin to flourish with hope, purpose, and lasting transformation—all rooted in the redeeming love of Jesus.
We ended our day of travel back in north Kampala, where we enjoyed a nice dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn, returned to air conditioning, slept without mosquito nets, and anticipated our trip to Murchison Falls and a Safari!
