United Women in Faith

United Women in Faith

We believe that love in action can change the world. At Resurrection, we do this through learning, service, sisterhood, and faith opportunities both within the walls of the church and throughout our community.

Each of our members brings their life experience, like colorful tiles, to combine and create exquisite masterpieces. Constantly changing, refreshing, improving…lifting one another up. United Women in Faith is a sisterhood acting in faith to tackle the hard work of the world without hesitation. Faith, action, sisterhood.

Every day we show up.
We take action. We get it done.
Join us to see LOVE IN ACTION.

September Event

Monday, Sept. 9 @ 9:30 AM in Leawood, room B206

LGBTQ & FosterAdopt
Facts vs. Fiction

Do you have questions about the LGBTQ community? Do you want someone to help you get some answers? Then join the women of UWF on Monday, September 12th in room B206 at 9:30 a.m.

Our speakers from the FosterAdoptConnect agency will explore some basic concepts related to the LGBTQ community, including SOGIE or Sexual Orientation Gender Identity/Expression. Our presenters will shed light on the unique challenges faced by foster youth and the disproportionate representation of LGBTQ individuals in the foster care system. We will also share ways you can be an ally and support members of the LGBTQ community.

Lastly, we hope to answer your questions and welcome you to anonymously submit them here.

MISSIONS FOCUS: This meeting we are asking you to bring donations of hair care products for black children and teens.

We hope you will join us for this very informative program, and that you will feel free to send your questions to our speakers in advance of their presentation.
