Resurrection Veterans Ministry

We live out our faith through acts of service for Veterans, Service Members, and their families within our community who are encountering challenges in their everyday lives, doing our part in Resurrection’s mission to make a difference in the community by reflecting God’s compassion and care.

We are eyes, ears, and hands for our Church’s Veteran Care Ministries—making the connections for veterans, service members, and families who are facing challenges.

Pet Grief and Loss Workshop

Losing a pet can bring profound grief, and finding space to process that loss matters. On Thursday, March 26, from 6-8 pm, we’re offering an in-person Pet Grief and Loss Workshop in Parlor A at Resurrection Leawood. Using Alan Wolfelt’s book When Your Pet Dies as our guide (provided to all attendees), we’ll explore the stages of pet grief, healthy coping strategies, and meaningful ways to honor your companion’s memory. You’ll find practical tools for navigating loss alongside others who understand what you’re experiencing. This workshop is for anyone currently grieving a pet or supporting someone who is.
