Due to potentially damaging weather this afternoon and evening, the children’s musical and pre-show events in the Leawood Sanctuary have been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
In the opening verses of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gives us eight statements that have come to be known as the Beatitudes, and they are unlike anything we might expect from a list of blessings. Blessed are the poor in spirit. Blessed are those who mourn. Blessed are the meek. Each one quietly dismantles our assumptions about strength, success, and what it means to be truly blessed. We’d love for you to carry them with you this week and pray over each one. Download this free phone wallpaper displaying all eight Beatitudes and let them be a daily prompt for reflection and prayer.
Through Global Education Sponsorship, Resurrection partners with local leaders at schools in Uganda, Malawi, South Africa, and Honduras to connect children with the learning and opportunity that can change everything, not just for one child, but for their family and the broader community around them. Your monthly gift helps cover teachers’ salaries, classroom materials, and tuition, and it’s one of the most direct ways to close the opportunity gap for kids and families living in poverty. Graduating from high school is a significant milestone, and Resurrection wants to celebrate the Class of 2026 with you. On Sunday, May 3, all 2026 high school graduates are invited to be recognized during worship at the time and location they normally attend. When you register, submit a current photo and a short bio so graduates can be honored with a display outside the worship venue that day. Graduates and parents are also invited to a special celebration at their location following worship, with a short program, refreshments, and a gift. Every location is doing something a little different, so be sure to check the details for yours when you register. Registration closes April 27, and you can find all the details and sign up using the button below.

Join Pastor Robert Johnson for two powerful immersion trips that trace the sacred and sobering events shaping America’s journey toward justice. In March, explore Tulsa’s Greenwood District and the Osage Nation. In November, travel from Little Rock to Memphis, where ordinary people made extraordinary choices during the Civil Rights Movement. These aren’t tours—they’re pilgrimages designed to challenge and change us through guided reflection, prayer, and conversation, equipping us to love boldly and serve courageously today.
UPDATE: The Human Rights trip to Tulsa and the Osage Nation is now full.
