Serve Saturday
On the third Saturday of each month, we work to provide extra opportunities for you to serve outside the walls of our church, to make a difference in Kansas City. Our next Serve Saturday event is happening on May 18, be sure to sign up and pick your location and we’ll have a variety of ways you can serve in the community that day. Vacation Bible Camp
The excitement is growing as we inch closer and closer to the best week of the summer and that is Vacation Bible Camp. This year’s theme is “The Jesus Tour.” Kids currently in kindergarten through 5th grade (school year 2023/2024) will learn about Jesus’ message of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” exploring kindness, respect, compassion, and humility through fun activities, crafts, games, and music. Blood Drives
Join us in celebrating 30 years of saving lives together with Community Blood Center! Join us this May for our Resurrection Blood Drives happening at various Resurrection locations. Every donation makes a difference, and with recent changes at the Community Blood Center, more people than ever can give the gift of life. Church Conference
A Church Conference has been called for Tuesday, May 21, 6 – 6:45 pm. The conference will be held in Room B251 at the Leawood location and will also be available virtually via Zoom. Church members will vote on the Staff Parish Relations Committee’s recommendations for pastoral ministry candidates, and pastoral compensation for the coming year. Anyone is welcome to attend, but only church members can vote. Registration is not required, but to join online, use this Zoom link at 6 pm on May 21. Do Unto Others - Kindness Campaign 2024
Do Unto Others is a grassroots movement launched by Resurrection, a United Methodist Church, to encourage people to be intentional about treating one another with kindness, even those with whom we disagree.
Our individual actions matter. When we choose kindness during moments of disagreement, we create ripples of respect that change relationships and entire communities.
