Justice work is hard. It can feel lonely. And some days it can feel like the weight of everything wrong in the world is more than any of us can carry.

But there is a promise that has carried me — and I believe it can carry you too.

After giving his disciples the great commission, Jesus made a declaration that I think we don’t sit with long enough: I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age.

Every day. Not just on the good days. Not just when progress is visible or hope feels close. Every single day.

Paul echoes this in Romans 8 — nothing can separate us from the love of God through Christ Jesus. Not exhaustion. Not disappointment. Not the slow, grinding nature of justice work. Nothing.

And Micah 6:8, one of my favorite verses in all of scripture, calls us to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God. That walk, that daily commitment — it was never meant to be taken alone.

So whatever you are stepping into today — showing up to vote, speaking up for someone without a voice, praying for a neighbor in need, simply trying to love the person in front of you — take this with you:

You are not alone.

Jesus promised to be with us every day. In the work. In the weariness. In the moments that feel too small to matter and the ones that feel too big to face.

That promise doesn’t expire. It doesn’t have exceptions. It is for all of us, every day, as we do the work we are called to do.

Let that be your comfort. Let that be your fuel.
