On Thursday, July 30, the 55+ community at Resurrection is partnering with Missions to pack school supply kits for preschoolers across the Kansas City area, making sure everything is ready and in schools’ hands before the first day of school. It’s hands-on mission work with a clear and immediate impact — every bag packed means a young child walks into their first days of school with what they need. Join us in the Foundry for part of the day or the full stretch from 9 am to 2:00 pm, and be part of getting kids ready for the year ahead.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the way we live, work, learn, and connect—but what exactly is it, and how can it be useful in everyday life? Join Resurrection’s IT Director, Clif Guy for an engaging and informative introduction to AI. You'll learn be introduced to popular AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT, and discover practical ways AI can help you with everything from planning trips and writing emails to exploring hobbies, learning new skills, and staying organized. The best part…no technical background is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore this exciting new technology together.

This new Bible study invites those 70ish and older to spend time in the Psalms, drawing on selected weeks of John Ortberg’s Becoming New series and focusing on prayer as a spiritual practice. Facilitated by Pastor Dennis Apple, the group will meet Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11 am in Room B152, starting September 9. The study offers space for honest conversation and a closer look at Scripture through the lens of prayer.

Starting September 9, adults 55 and up are invited to gather in the Spring Café at Resurrection Leawood, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 am for coffee, conversation, and community. Come and go as your schedule allows; there's no formal program, just people getting together over coffee. The gathering depends on volunteer hosts to help welcome people as they come in, and hosts are needed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Anyone interested in hosting can attend a short training on Tuesday, September 8, at 8:30 am in the Spring Café.
