Resurrection Sponsors KC PrideFest 2026: Love in Action

Resurrection at KC PrideFest

Resurrection was once again a proud sponsor of KC PrideFest, joining the celebration at Theis Park during the weekend of June 5–7. Throughout the festival, Community Justice and QIC Ministries staff and volunteers engaged in conversations with people from across the Kansas City community as thousands gathered to celebrate Pride.

KC PrideFest is an annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. The event highlights the community’s history, culture, and achievements while creating space to promote acceptance, equality, and inclusion. It also serves as a reminder of the ongoing work to honor the struggles that have shaped the movement for equal rights.

Resurrection’s amazing volunteers at KC PrideFest.

For Resurrection, being present at PrideFest is one way to express the church’s commitment to showing the love of God through welcome and inclusion. By participating alongside neighbors, families, community organizations, and other supporters, the church affirms that every person is worthy of dignity, respect, and belonging.

Their presence throughout the weekend reflected a simple but meaningful commitment: to stand alongside the LGBTQ+ community and its allies in Kansas City, and to celebrate the diversity that makes this city stronger.
