How We Serve in Costa Rica
In Costa Rica we focus on partnering with Costa Rica Mission Projects, local Methodist Churches, and the community on locally identified projects concentrating on education and church outreach.
What We Do
Education
Support the work of the preschool on the Costa Rica Mission Project Campus that reaches out to single working mothers to assist them with low-cost quality education and childcare.
Church Outreach
Working with local pastors, we help with a variety of events such as VBC and outdoor worship services. The work we do in partnership is identified by local leaders to benefit the church and community.
Light Construction
We assist with light construction projects on the Costa Rica Mission Project Campus or at local churches
Work & Activities
Costa Rica Mission Projects (CRMP) was founded by North Carolina Conference Missionary Wil Bailey and his wife Yolanda in 2003.
They believe that Christian service comes in many forms and that they have been called to provide opportunities for churches in Costa Rica and churches from other countries to serve one another and explore what it means for us to be part of a body that extends far beyond the walls of our own individual churches.
When you travel to Costa Rica you can expect to help in local churches doing light construction, special programming for children and youth, as well as spending time in the community building relationships. This is an incredible and safe opportunity for families to serve together in an international setting.
Costa Rica FAQ
Costa Rica trips are open to adults, and children ages 8 and older accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
All goes as planned, yes! San Isidro is high in the mountains but only 30 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. On one day of our trip, and on our return to San Jose airport area, we will travel to Manuel Antonio National Park, a beautiful destination with tropical landscapes, rain forest, beautiful beaches, wildlife, restaurants, ziplining, horseback riding and much more.
Yes, participants have the flexibility to remain in the country AFTER the close of the official trip.
You do not need speak Spanish to join a Costa Rica team, but we are always looking for team members who do!
