How We Serve in Honduras
In Honduras we partner in community-focused education, light construction, and preventative health care training.
What We Do
Education
We partner with the Juan Wesley Methodist School (K-12) to provide educational sponsorships and support English language education. In addition, we support higher education for graduates by funding supplemental expenses.
Economic Empowerment
Our local partners teach community members personal finance and how to create, market, and grow a small business. Resurrection is proud to partner in this work by providing funds for training and the initial loan for startup costs.
Church Growth
We partner with the United Methodist Church of Honduras through relational outreach events and asset-based community development projects.

Work & Activities
In Honduras we partner with Hondurans to transform their communities.
Construction teams serve with volunteers from the Methodist Church in El Obraje to serve in their community by pouring cement floors in some of the local homes and doing other light construction.
Teams that visit the school in Ciudad España help students develop English language skills by playing games, acting out scenarios, and focusing on pronunciation. These teams also help with a little school upkeep or community outreach in the afternoons.
Travel & Accomodations
Travel
Teams fly into Comayagua airport in Honduras. Resurrection will arrange the flights so that the team travels together.
Accomodations
Teams stay at the Honduras Mission House in Tegucigalpa or a hotel in Danli. Lodging will be twin beds or bunkbeds and will have private bathroom facilities.
Food
A typical meal includes beans, tortillas, rice, plantains, chicken, or fish.

Open to adults and children ages 14 and older if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Currently, U.S. citizens (U.S. passport holders) visiting Honduras for ninety days or less do not need visas.
We have limited space available on medical serve trips for non-medical trip participants. Please contact our Global Impact team to find out more.
You do not need speak Spanish to join a Honduras team, but we are always looking for team members who do!
