Due to potentially damaging weather this afternoon and evening, the children’s musical and pre-show events in the Leawood Sanctuary have been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
In Uganda, you’ll step into communities where long-term partnerships are already making a difference—and where your role is to come alongside that work in practical ways. On a Resurrection serve trip, you’ll partner with Uganda Counseling and Support Services (UCSS) to support initiatives focused on education, health, clean water, and community development.
Your time might include helping with light construction projects, supporting local training efforts, or assisting alongside Ugandan medical professionals during mobile clinics that serve people who often travel long distances for care. You could also be part of education-focused work—encouraging students or supporting local leaders as they invest in their communities. The focus isn’t on doing everything—it’s on being present, flexible, and willing to contribute where it’s needed. Whether you’re setting up for a clinic, helping with a project, or participating in a training session, you’re working with local teams who lead the way.
Resurrection’s long-term commitment helps sustain efforts like clean water access, education, and community-based programs, so your experience builds on ongoing, locally led work. Outside of scheduled activities, you’ll share meals, hear stories, and get to know people whose hospitality and perspective often leave a lasting impression.
There’s also an optional safari experience if you want to explore more of the country at the end of the week. Open to adults and teens (14+ with a guardian), this trip offers a hands-on way to engage in meaningful work while learning from people in a different context.
