How We Serve in Uganda

In Uganda we partner with Uganda Counseling and Support Services, a non-profit organization focusing on holistic community development in Bulike, Bulaya, and Nakalama.

What We Do

Education

Support the K-12 Nakalama School by sponsoring a classroom.

Empowering Leaders

Partner with UCSS in offering leadership workshops to build capacity in the incredible leadership team in Bulike, Buluya, and Nakalama.

Health

Support, encourage, and serve with local medical professionals as they respond to physical and mental health challenges with a focus on preventative education.

Work & Activities

Team activities will vary based on partner needs and the trip participants going.

  • Medical teams partner with Nana’s Health Center on mobile medical clinics in rural communities.
  • Capacity building teams support the local leaders with leadership development workshops.
  • Teams will have the opportunity to experience and learn more from our local partners about ongoing projects.

Uganda FAQ

The minimum age for Puerto Rico serve trips is 16 with parent or guardian. Team members under the age of 21 must have their parents/guardian complete a notarized Parental Consent Form.

Coming from the United States, all you need is a driver’s license or another valid form of photo ID to enter Puerto Rico (it’s part of the United States after all!)

You do not need speak Spanish to join a Puerto Rico team, but we are always looking for team members who do!
